Default First Time Cruise - May 30

I have booked my first cruise for my husband and myself for our 26th anniversary. We leave May 30. We will be leaving from Charleston going to Freeport and Nassau. Can you give me any pointers and things to do, things to not do, etc? I have read the carnival sight and several reviews but it's good to hear from others experiences. Also, what's the best way to do excursions...through the ship or when you get to the island?

Speaking for my self i have done both, excursions through the ship can be a little expense.

There really is no need in these ports to buy an excursion from the ship. In Nassau you can cab over to the Atlantis, inexpensively, and enjoy the day there. The Dig, and, The Aquarium, which are both quite interesting.....

The shops are great, and the casino big Check out the gorgeous Dale Chahouly glass arwork in the lobby area, it's stunning.

You can get back to the oick area, and check out the shopping, and, Straw Market, and, the prettiest store in the Caribbean, John Bull.
