Default Off site parking Miami

I hate to bring up an old subject here but the last post I read here was from 2011.
I have read comments on this site, TravelAdvisor, etc.etc. and am more confused about the parking options around the Port of Miami. We are heading out on Breeze in October and have never left out of Miami. I know I don't want to spend the big bucks at the port but don't want an open lot behind some government buildings either.
Please give me your opinions and recommendations.
Thanks

We're doing "Breeze" in September, and I've been researching the same thing. At this point, I think I'm going to try "Safe Cruise Parking". It seems to be the best of the ones that I've been able to find, and is relatively close, priced right, and I haven't seen any negative comments on it. I'm not endorsing it, as I haven't actually done it yet, but that's the direction I'm leaning at this point. Good luck, and if you find any more info, let us know.

Thanks for the tip.
I will look it up. Have a great cruise and post how it went so I can get an idea of what to expect.

O.K., I'll try to remember to do that. We've cruised out of Miami a lot, and I really HATE to pay $20 per day to park on the pier. Yes, it is convenient, but that's a lot of money, and I've even heard that they charge an extra day, so the eight day cruise will cost $180 to park! That's INSANE, IMO.

I don't know if this would apply to anyone, but if you are handicapped & have license plate or hangtag, you can park for free at the Miami port.

Park at the Miami airport & take a cab. I found parking at mia airport for $5 a day, cab will cost you $25. Round trip cab with parking for under $100.
