Yes, I've stayed there, great place to pre-cruise, although they do not offer a free shuttle, you'll need to take a cab from the airport and another one to the port. I forget what hotel it is now, but it used to be the Wyndham....Even though, you ship may be right across the street, best to use a cab..

I'm still in San Juan from my cruise that got back yesterday. The boat docks in Old San Juan, any cab will take you there as the port entrance is right on the street. No "ship yards" to enter as you would in FL or other states.
One thing that I didn't like was taxi's now charging $1 per bag. I'm a lot pissed about that and they can now count that dollar per bag as their tip. The nickel and dime-ing needs to come to an end.
