Default Comfort Inn / Atlantis

My cruise rep suggested getting a room at the Comfort Inn to get in free to the Atlantis. I had stated to her that I had checked that out before and you would have to get 2 rooms for 5 people. She then told me that all you have to do is show the key at the Atlantis they don't care how many people you have. Does anyone know if this is true. Can I get away for paying for 1 person in the room at the Comfort Inn then? (to make that cheaper) Lastly what is the check-in process? How early can you check in?
