Default From Port Canaveral to Walt Disney World?

Family will soon be sailing! Looking for some advice - is there an inexpensive way to get to Walt Disney World from Port Canaveral once our cruise is done?

Once we get back into port we plan to head over to Disney World for a couple of days then fly home out of Fort Lauderdale.

It's four of us and it looks like a one way car rental from Port Canaveral to Fort Lauderdale airport is pretty expensive for just two days. Is there perhaps a shuttle that can take us to Walt Disney World and while we are at the park we can then rent a car on our last day to drive down to Fort Lauderdale?

What do you consider expensive for a car rental?

You realize that WDW is in Orlando, not Fort Lauderdale?

Check the shuttle companies. You might have to two step it, port to MCO, MCO to WDW. We found very inexpensive wheels from Dollar.

I am confused about the remark of car rentals being expensive here.

Sorry - but you seem to have your ports mixed up. I am not sure if you are sailing from Port Canaveral and flying out of Fort Lauderdale, or if you are sailing out of Port Canaveral.

there is a big difference in distance.

However, I just rented a large car in Ft Lauderdale - I had it for 8 days and it only cost me $248 - complete (plus gas). It was big enough to carry six people and luggage.

Florida is cheap for rental cars because a lot of people drive and drop them there (apparently).
