Default Texas Specials--finally!!

Just returned from Carnival Legend..great cruise..I will have review soon.

I was surprised to see something I have never seen before upon my return. A residence special for Texas. Also some very competitive pricing for sailings from Galveston. Also listings for GAL on those long super special emails they send out. Looks like the NEW competition in Houston and Galveston is effecting their bookings. We have over paid to sail from Texas in years past, but looks like it is now getting competitive such as Florida has been. I will take advantage.

Carnival was emailing people with the Texas resident rates and when they went to check the rates the rate was higher than if you booked without the resident rate.

Glitch in the system possibly?

Bill

I only checked on two as I'm kind of busy since just returning, but it was lower than standard fares. It may depend on the sailing date. The Triumph was lower than the Magic I noticed.

I had observed a recent 5 day cruise on the Triumph, for two weeks ago, listed at $219.00 pp!!!!!! I could not get off for September 11 (the middle of this cruise) otherwise, Sandra and I would have been there!
