Default Elation and Conquest delayed by storm

Tropical Storm Karen delays two Carnival ships

Both ships were due back in New Orleans today. People scheduled to sail have their Conquest cruise shortened by one day and those on Elation shortened by two days....

Never easy to hear this news, when you are so excited to cruise, but, safety first and foremost.

Even if they wanted to get back to New Orleans on time, the port and the channel from the Gulf were closed and the cruise line had no choice. And, would you want them to take the ships through a tropical storm just to keep on schedule? I suspect the guests aboard at the time would think not.

When you cruise during hurricane season it's the risk you take.

Dave, I wasn't being critical - that was a sad face I included with my post.
Sad for those who are having their cruise cut short, particularly the 5 day which is now down to 3. They are giving them some pretty good compensation though, which they are not obligated to do....
