Default Alaska with Carnival Cruise Line

Has anyone taken the Alaska cruise with Carnival? Wanting to book a cruise and this one seems to be the cheapest. Any advise would help. Thanks

Went on Spirit years ago, cruise was great, it was Inside Passage. It was great for our first Alaska cruise, but if I were to do it a second time, and could afford it, I'd go for a longer cruise and one that took you to more places. Some excursions have a hefty price, but where else can you view glaciers from the air, walk on one, do dog sled rides etc. Bring your cash or credit card, but it's worth it.
I think Alaska cannot be defined.

As I posted to your same question in another area;

Alaska is one of those places many people only get to do once in their lives, so it's important to do your homework before deciding for or against any one particular cruise line.

Plus, if you look at rates for next year, there are several wonderful cruise ships that are not only nicer than the Carnival Miracle, but on several occasions are cheaper! These include Celebrity, Holland America, NCL, and Royal Caribbean.

Best thing to do is talk to your agent, preferably a Cruise Specialist who's been to Alaska and can give you alot of first-hand information to consider when selecting which cruise is the best one for you.

My brother and his wife cruised on the Spirit to Alaska a few years ago. My brother said if he visited Alaska again it would be by land.

Personally, if I were to cruise Alaska I would be going NCL, but that's just me.

I think I am more partial to Princess in Alaska...They seem to have more ships going various routes, so something should interest anyone....

Been to Alaska on Holland America and Carnival. Going again next year on Carnival.

IMO, Alaska is the destination - not the cruise ship.

Itinerary and price are more important to me than cruise ship. Having a balcony is also important.

Have done 2 Alaskan cruises on HAL; just booked an 8-day Alaskan cruise on Carnival Miracle for September 2014. Selling points - 8 days instead of 7; leaves from Seattle and comes back to Vancouver; leaves and returns mid-week; and visits Sitka.

I went on a Carnival Alaska this past summer! I had a wonderful time. I asked around to veteran Alaskan cruisers, and they said that it was one of their best Alaskan cruises yet. I sailed on the Carnival Miracle, which was a great ship. I would definitely recommend the Carnival Alaska cruise.

We might be on the same cruise - EXCELLENT itinerary if the same one. Love that it is going both to Sitka AND Glacier Bay. Got a good price on airfare into Seattle and out of Vancouver as well.
