Embarrassing.

Good to see security in place. I would imagine this was that tail end of a long afternoon for everybody.

I'll bet their cruise cards had a 'no booze' lockout placed on them right after this incident occurred.

She definitely should have been restricted to a cabin until the next port then put off with her suitcase--maybe that's what they did. I couldn't see enough to see the other person or persons and what they were doing but this one appeared to be the main instigator. She had ample time and warning not to continue--I guess they handled it as well as they could but personally, if left to me, she would have come out of that hot tub much sooner than she did and would not have had the opportunity to jump in the pool taking a security guard with her. She should have been restrained to where she couldn't do anything but go with security. Great publicity for Carnival, as though they really need some more !

Sometimes with a sh*t show such as this you have to sit back relax and enjoy the show. If someone is that incoherent and stupid drunk or not then they deserve everything they get. Carnival has put people off for far littler things than that. A friend of mine got put off the ship because she slapped a guy because he grabbed her ass then said some off putting comment to her. Did she dereve to get put off no. But this girl did put on quite the show for everyone!!

I don't think they should have restrained more, she was a moving person. Any rough handling from security would have been a reverse lawsuit by the gal.

I thought the ship's security showed considerable restraint. If this had happened in a bar or public place on shore she would have spent the night or at least a good part of the night in jail. No one wins here. Ship gets bad publicity and a lot of naysayers will say this is why they "never sail Carnival." She sure spoiled things for a lot of people. Me? I would have had her keel hauled or at least mess cooking for 30 days.

On my first cruise in 1990, on the Carnival Celebration, during the fun ship days, was the only Carnival cruise I ever saw some bad behaviour, but not to this extent.

My take was, they let this go too long without intervention. They only intervened when she had a choke hold on the crew member, in the pool. My 1st thought was, do nothing..lawsuit!!! It did become a show, for the passengers, and, that gray haired man, in front, did seem to show someone he was scratched or something...that made me giggle.

From comments in the video, I believe she was not put off the ship.

On my last Carnival cruise on the Glory several years ago two fights broke out one in the casino and one in the hallway a couple of doors down from my cabin. Both involved drunk people. That was my last Carnival cruise. As far as this incident goes it went on far too long. She should have been removed from the scene. She was too aggressive. If she refused to go quietly then security should have "swarmed" and removed her. So sad.

They carry handcuffs. I would have used them on her.
