We are cruising on the Splendor in Nov and have always stayed in an O/V or Balcony but on this one we are going to try a Inside cabin(4J) 6204 w/picture window (walkway view).its at the front of the ship and you have a window and use of the front balcony. It's a little more that just a inside cabin...my question is has anyone stayed in one and how did you find it.

We have not stayed in one of theses cabins. I do remember looking at them You never know what you will see out that window and they can be quite breezy when the ship is under way. We have been out there on other ships.
All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; John Masefield

Haven't stayed in a 4J before but we love the PT (porthole) cabins. Usually about the same cost as a 4A, have natural light via two port holes, and the same size as a balcony cabin without the balcony (about 185sf). PTs are the best cabins on the ship compared to cost.
Really. I never thought of them....what about the noise of the anchor; do you hear it. We'll see if I can have a peek in one this coming cruise. Thanks
If you're asking about the PTs, rarely do you hear the anchor. Even for the few times when you happen to be in the cabin when the anchor is lowered or raised, the noise is not bad (just unusual until you recognize what it is) and it only lasts a few minutes.
