I'm leaving May 24, on Carnival Magic out of Galveston. My boarding pass that I printed out says I have priority boarding between 12:30 and 2:30 pm because I booked 2 suites. Today I received an email that there will be staggered embarkation and my embarkation time would be between 2:00 and 3:00 pm. If I show up at 12:30, will I be turned away and told to come back later? Is this a new procedure?
As long as boarding is not being delayed for something like sanitizing the ship due to an outbreak of illness you will be fine and be able to board when you arrive. My last few cruises on Carnival stated a time frame for boarding , I ignored it and was on the ship before noon. I do think they try staggering people's arrival but many ignore it....I always do.
I am a platinum member and I get the same time on my paperwork Noon till 2 pm. I get there 10:30 am and On board by 11:30 for lunch and in hot tub by Noon. You can get there early 10:30 am -11 am you should be on board by 12 - 12:30. If you arrive Noon or after plan on a really long wait. Have a great Cruise. Ed
Our last two cruises we had FTTF and they tried to tell us to show up after 1 pm. UM hello...I purchased the FTTF for a variety of reasons and one is that I'm onboard as soon as I chose to get there..1 pm...ROFL I don't think so Carnival...if the right hand knew what the left hand were doing then Carnival would KNOW I purchased FTTF and would have me arrive accordingly..but no..I get a form letter...which I choose to ignore.
