Default Can u tour Dubrovnik from port, tender or pier?

Taking Mediterranean cruise this spring. I am wondering about the port of Dubrovnik. Is the port right in the town? We'd like to just roam around without having to take a formal excursion if there are some things of interest within walking distance. Any advice is appreciated.

You are docked, no tender, and I don't remember much being around the pier. There was a guardpost leaving the dock, where all passports were shown to a person while we were on the bus.

In this fabulous port, I feel you would be remiss if you didn't at least take a city tour of this fantastic city.

Surprised your agent wasn't able to help you with this.

The ship docks down a ways from the city - not too far, but too far to walk. You have to take a free shuttle from the ship to get there and back - runs on regular basis.

But Dubrovnik is one of our favorite places to visit - sort of like a diamond in the rough. Great people, lovely city, and some wonderful food.

We cruised with HAL into Dubrovnik The ship had shuttle buses to take us to the old town and the centre of Dubrovnik Only cost a few dollars Well worth it to walk the city walls
