Not yet, unfortunately. I asked the Celebrity folks how they'er going to create a private dining room on Infinity as opulent as Millennium's Olympic Restaurant, with the original wood from 1913. Don't think they knew at the time, but said "it's a surprise." Having visited ships in a dozen or so ship yards, at ten weeks prior to launch there IS no interior, just steel girders. Two thousand or so men finish the interiors during the last two months of building. So, it will be a while. Celebrity will be using the same interior decorators who have done every ship since Century. They just try out different themes. As you're aware, they'll be identical from the outside.
The following is from Celebrity's web site regarding dinning on the Iminity. Yes there will be a specialty restaurant," The United States".
"An evening dining in The United States is five course dining at its finest. The sumptuous cuisine of Chef Michel Roux is accompanied by soft music and sunset views. Guests may select seating at the demonstration kitchen or the dine-in wine cellar for private parties. Expect five star attention with white glove service."
The Summit Millennium VI will also have one, what ship's name will they bear?
We certainly do hope to have some of the first pictures, however. One of our writers, Mary Ann Hemphill, has also been hired by Celebrity to create the official ship's souvenir book. She will be traveling to the shipyard next month to see it.
> This may be pre-mature but I wonder if any one has pictures of
> infinity yet.
Anne, Celebrity has finally updated their website to include information & pictures of the Millennium. There is also a section for the Infinity that includes a 'mock up' picture of the United States dining room. Can't honesty say it looks that great from the picture.
