Default Salon Charges

I posted this a couple of weeks ago...but no one answered here.

Does anyone know what the charges are in the salon on the Century?? I am leaving next Saturday and am trying to budget our spending money :-)

Specifically, updo's and "finishing" as well as manicures?

I'd really appreciate any info you can provide. We are getting married while on the cruise and are quite excited!!!

Leaving in 9 days!!! (one day precruise)

Congratulations on the cruise but most especially on getting married while cruising. I wish you much happiness and "Happy Sailing" together forever. Can't answer your questions though about Salon charges because I've never cruised before!!! Sorry.

Bring your money girl, I own a salon in los angeles and have cruised celebrity a few times, I love to have all the services done for me while on board, It's worth it. I feel the prices are equal to what we pay in LA.
Put it this way your on a cruise and you only go around once so tell yourself your worth it and spend away...

One advantage to Millennium is that the Thelassotherapy pool is open to all at no charge!

Is this only for Millennium? Do you know if Infinity will be the same? The last time I talked to special services they said Millennium was $10/day for the T. Pool. Just curious. I am booked for 2/17/01 Infinity to Hawaii and plan on taking full advantage of that spa! It sounds like heaven

I have to plead guilty and say that I believed the pool is free, but that I always reserve the right to be wrong! That said, I would hazard a guess that whatever the policy is on the Millennium it will be the same on Infinity because the reasons for doing it on Millennium had to do with the design factor that caused the pool to be placed outside in a more public area. Since Infinity is the same basic design it stands to reason that the polocy will be the same.

I was sent a hard copy of the salon charges for all Celebrity ships. I have it at home and will fax it too you on Friday as I am not in the office on Thursday. An updo and manicuare are each about $30. The Thalostherapy pool is free. Give each other a present of a massage or beauty treatment. Great gifts to remember your honeymoon. Please contact me by e-mail with a fax number. I don't have a scanner.

Paul, do you think this is something to come for the fleet? Free use of the thalassotherapy pool?

Whew! I guess I was right after all, according to Nana anyway. I should have kept my mouth shut. You may be sorry you mentioned faxing, though, Nana. We did that once and ended up faxing about 15 people!

nicole... so happy to meet someone on the same cruise... are you having any problems with air arrangements... I have but think that I have independent arrangements.... back to the subject... on the mercury and the qe2 they charged 10.00 for the thalassatherapy pool... but if you watched your newspaper there were times when it was free... however on an rccl cruise the price was posted at 14.00 ... although they didn't have one they said that the price was industry wide.... it's definately worth 10.00 even 14.00 but free is better!!!!!!!!!!!!

Celebrity has all of the prices posted online at:

http://support.celebrity-cruises.com...0the%20prices?

Or just go to their FAQ section under Amenities and Onboard Services.

I didn't have any air problems. We got a deviation. Had to pay a little more, ($100 including deviation fee) but we wanted a specific airline, times, nonstops, etc.) and we are staying in Hawaii 3 extra days.
Keeping our fingers crossed that the cruise won't be cancelled!

Be sure to check if the gratuity has been added. During past year on Celebrity have noted that the salons have now been adding an automatic 10% tip on bill....

Maybe the prices have gone down. I was on Galaxy earlier this year and paid much higher prices than the ones mentioned. I hhad a pedicure that was priced at $65. anda full body massage at $95. The facial I had he next day was $65. Between the two of us and our services we spent at least $600. As I mentioned before I own a salon here in los angeles and find these prices to be comprable. In addition I found the services to be average to good, definatly not the best I have had. But of course when on infinity next year I will be right there in the spa doing it all over again...

Hi again,

After the cruise from Feb. 28- March 3, I am staying with a friend who lives near Honolulu. How does San Francisco fit in the mix for you? We are flying into San Diego the day the cruise leaves. We get there at 10:30 in the morning. Hope we don't have to wait around long to get bussed to Ensenada. I can't wait to see that ship! Only 175 days until we sail! Please e-mail me so we can chat off the board. julia003@tc.umn.edu

Nicole <-------- thinking february 17, 2001 will never get here!

We too sail 9/9 and I believe there are a few more exclusive spa treatments available on Millennium but which I did not receive by contacting Celebrity Customer Service directly. Would you care to join our "net cruise buddies" group for a Happy Hour? The details will be e-mailed personally by next Friday. Our group is up to 23 people!
Bon Voyage

When we were on the Mercury in May, use of the Thalassotherapy pools was free ONLY to suite passengers. Others paid $10 per day - there was also a weekly charge option, but I do not remember what it was.

However, whenever a passenger books ANY Salon or Spa treatment complimentary use of the Thalassotherapy pool for 1/2 hour PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT is included.

I believe the same rules apply to the Millennium (and Infinity)
