Celebrity On-board credits

Hi,

I was looking through my cruise docs and I see that you use a credit card to back up your onboard credits card.

Does anyone know if there is a problem using a VISA check card instead of a credit card?

Although I have never used one, a friend travelling with me did. It was just a plain old ATM card and not a fake credit card visa logo'd one. They will run the charges through every night to ensure that you do not exceed your withdrawal limit. On my upcoming cruise, 2 people are going to be using their ATM cards for on board purchases.

They don't run it through every night. They treat it as a regular credit card and hold so much out. I use mine all the time.
