I've got a question for anybody whose sailed in or out of Genoa. I'm booked on the Millennium transatlantic leaving Genoa on Nov. 3. I just noticed that Costa Atlantica is ALSO leaving Genoa that same day to start her transatlantic. When I booked Millennium, I certainly didn't expect to see an even newer ship (with even more passengers) during the cruise. ;-)
I'm wondering if having two very large cruise ships embarking passengers on the same day is likely to overwhelm the facilities. Any advice would be appreciated.
We sailed out of Genoa on the Century last year and if Millennium uses the same pier it should not be a problem. Genoa is a very large harbor. Hope you are Captian Club member as the embarkation was tedious for nonmenbers. We will be with you on the transatlantic.
Just got back from 10/2 Millenium and the cruise terminal can only handle about half the Millenium pax at one time, let alone another ship. Perhaps there's an additional terminal I didn't see one though. My advice would be to get there early, get a low number and go for a walk until they begin boarding.....
