Default Cabin

Sailing on the Millinium on 2/18/01 with a 1C Skydeck cabin. Number 9054 I believe...any thoughts on whether or not this will be a good location or should we try for another... ( p.s. first time cruiser )......thanks.

Haven't been on the Millennium but have read posts that you will get the noise from the Resort deck above. You might want to consider switching to a 1B on the Panorama deck.

Hi Glenn,
Sorry, can't help you with the cabin location, but you may want to read through the section here for "first cruise", lots of valuable information. Have a wonderful time on Millennium.

Oh, you should be fine. You are actually closer (underneath-wise) to the Aquaspa area than the main pool area.

Hopefully by the time you sail, Celebrity will have worked out all the bugs.

From a comfort standpoint, it is a good location. I don't know how much noise you will get from the deck above, but I noticed one of the other replies said that you are under the Aqua Spa. If you are, then you will be fine. If you have never cruised before, you are in for a treat. It is a beautiful ship.

We were in cabin 9097. We did hear chairs fall on deck and women with high heals at night -- but for two kids growing up in the Bronx in an apartment building with the el one block away it was fairly quite. My only complaint is that there are steel girders that hold up the pool deck that extend out. Well wouldn't you know I picked the room that had a girder on both sides of our balcony whereas all of the other rooms on our floor had a gerder every other room. Picture taking was a problem. Also mounted to the girder on the right of our balcony is what I will call a "cherry picker". It's the only way I can describe it. It's a cage that a worker can stand in and paint the under part of the upper deck. This block our view. Next Millie trip we will move down one floor or move forward past the elevators.

Overall it was a great cruise.

Feel free to email me with questions.
