Default Millennium 1-7-01 Cruise

I'm happy to see all the postings fromt he 1-7 cruises on Milli.
My hubby and I just returned from the same cruise and had a
WONDERFUL time. We spent a little time with Jim Cannon the Cruise Director and he told us this was the best weather they have experienced so far this season. As far as the vibration goes.....there is nothing out of the ordinary from any other cruise I've been on. I agree with Cindy, the only time you felt any vibration was in the dining room. Again, according to the CD, the original problem was more of a "shutter" and it was corrected in drydock.
We met some really wonderful people on this cruise.....many of whom post on these boards. I'm sorry we weren't able to meet everyone from the CM group.
My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is the "meet and greet" at the airport could be better.
Food, service, ship.........everything was outstanding.

Mary Lou, Happy to hear you had a great cruise!!!! I've got a quick question for you. Is the bar in the Platinum Club a good place for pre-dinner coctails? It appears from the deck plans that area down at the bar might become busy with people waiting to get into the Metropolitan Resturant?

My wife and I enjoy setting at the bar for cocktails before dinner and having a Martini or two.

Your comments would be appreciated.

Where did the "meet and greet" at the airport, meet you? How long after you got off the plane, did you find someone?

Hi Cruisebill:

Yes, the Martini Bar in the Platinum Club is a great place for pre-dinner cocktails or after dinner too. The bartender (Suny) was from Bali & was excellent. He talked me into trying a "Balinese Sleeper" which I loved. Guess its his own concoction. His treatment of us whenever we saw him (even away from the bar) was so special. He was one of the many service people on board who helped make our cruise so enjoyable.

Yes, Barbara. You can get a Cosmopolitan at the Martini Bar. They are not listed on the martini menu (guess a Cosmo is not exotic enough), but he will still make anything you want. That was what I drank before he started making me the "Balinese Sleeper" (also not on the menu).

We had to walk from the gate thru security to the main airport lobby.....representatives were there. Only a short walk.
