Default Horizon from South Florida

Watch for the Horizon... one of Celeb's most popular vessels, to be sailing 7 night rt's out of South Florida... before too long. Great!

Yes, Horizon will start year 'round 7 night sailings from Miami in April/May 2002.

Dumb move if you ask me as she will be in direct competition with much larger, newer ships.

They should send her off on more exotic itineraries instead of stupid, run of the mill itineraries.

Well... there is a market for the smaller ships... particularly here in Florida where the size of the larger ships can be intimidating and difficult for many seniors. Also, I think the Friday sailing date may be a help. Morning in and morning out on Fridays offers some underutilized lift which the airlines may like as well. Now, if they decide on Port Everglades it would be even better. Time surely will tell.

I agree with Ernie - there are many of us who love smaller ships - not mega-malls. Since Celebrity is a favourite of ours, we would be likely to sail her out of Florida.

Tim, I have to agree with Ernie on this one, I think the call for smaller ships is far under estimated...I certainly sail them all but the now considered mid-range ship like the Zenith is my true perference.

Zenith in Oct
