I need infomation on the costs of the excursions offered in the Western Carib. We are sailing on 3/25 on Milli. Does anyone know the cost for the Jeep Safari in Cozumel and is it worth it? Cost for Cab and entrance fee to Chankunaab Park?
Xcaret park in Calica? In Grand Cayman, Stringray City Snorkel and the 7-mile Beach Getaway? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Patty, I don't have a Celebrity Western Caribbean tour brochure, but most of these tours are pretty standard. In Grand Cayman, don't take the Seven Mile beach thing. You can take a taxi and just go onto the public beach. Their trip will be much more expensive than you can do your self and the beach (probably the Colony) will be very narrow and crowded. Many people reserve Capt. Morgan ?? them selves for Sting Ray City. Try to find a tour on line and book an early tour as the Sting Rays are hungry earlier - this is a must whether you book on ship or independently. A taxi to the park in Cozumel should be about $10 (for the car) and admittance into the park, another trip easily done on your own. Don't pay for all the extra's you don't need. In Calica, the only way to do the ruins tour is a ships tour, so if you spend on only one tour choose this one. It is a long distance, but there is little else to do at Calica.
Bon Voyage
We booked the Sting Ray city excursion on board the Millennium (1/28 - 2/4) and the cost was $39 (no discount for kids) per head. We met in the Rendezvous Lounge on board and they took us ashore, to the buses, and to the boat and back. It was a great trip and took abour 2 1/2 hours. We had kids 8 & 10 and they had fun (although the 8 year old got a little nervous when of the sting rays snuck up on him from behind).
Have fun..
In Calica, I recommend XCeret eco-theme park. It's 5 minutes from the ship, and in my view a wonderful spot to spend the day, with lots of variet of things to do.. underground river to float down, dolphin swim, or just lazing around.
Hi Patti:
The tropical jeep safari is $74.00 per person and duration is 4 hours.
Xcaret is $43.00/adult and $28.00/child and IMHO worth every penny.
We did Milli in January and had a wonderful time. ENJOY!Patty Fitzgerald wrote:

Sting Ray City is $39.00 and the 7 Mile Beach is $14.00. In Cozumel, we rented a jeep from Hertz for $50.00 and drove to a couple of different beaches and around the island. I believe the entrance fee to Channkanab is now $10.00 per person. There is only 1 main road so you can't get lost. All the rental companies are located in the plaza on the pier. You can also go back and forth to the ship at your leisure and save taxi fare to the downtown shopping areas.
Xcaret was very nice. The ship's tour sold out very quickly -$43.00. But you can pay the bus driver $45.00 and get the same exact excursion - same buses, times, etc.
We will also be on Milli on 3/25. Don't know the prices, but 2 years ago we were on the same itinerary on the Mercury and will offer this little advise: Stingray City is unforgettable. We took the earliest tour offered on the ship and the advantage was that we were the first ones off of the ship in the morning. People who book shore excursions get priority getting off since you have to take tenders to get ashore in Grand Cayman. We were back to the ship for lunch and that allowed us to have the afternoon to roam around town and shop. Chankunaab Park was a nice place to snorkle or just sunbath and very easy to get to and easy to get a cab back to the ship anytime. Can't wait to get onboard that beautiful ship!!!
