Just received word via cruisecritic.com that the internet is up and working. "Cruise worker" sent a message saying all is well and the internet is up. Thanks for you assistance. Sounds like it is smooth sailings on the Infinity.
Just got off the Infinty this morning. Yes, it was .95 cents per minute. Slow download though, so tell your friends not to send unnecessary stuff. eg. jokes. photos, jpg files etc. Difficult to get on and off within 5 or 6 minutes and that is without writing a message on-line. I ended up with well over $60 in on-line charges and I am not sure how necessary any of it was. Infuriating to have newsletters and unwanted jokes knocking up the bill in this situation. Most places we called at had a cybercafe near the dock at $3 per hour. Even Puerto Caldera and Cartegena.
The net was down most of yesterday. Was told that someone hacked into their site and was charging $15.00 per minute, so they had to shut it down. Was down a few times due to sattelite problems.
Great trip, no time to get on internet, too busy having fun.
I dont know how it works for the passengers, but I have a son, working as massagetherapist on the Aqvaspa and he sends me email almost every day anit woks for him .
