We leave Saturday for an overnight near the S.F. Airport and fly out Sunday at 11AM for a 3 day pre-cruise at the Mandarin Oriental. Still no docs and no air tickets. The nerves are on end.
Your not alone Ralph, there are more of you then you think. The two couples we are traveling with received their docs, yesterday (3/20) - ours are still in the Celebrity offices in Miami. They assured me that they would FedEx them to me directly and by pass our TA. Hopefully they will arrive (as promised today). We also leaving for Hawaii on Sunday, from Philadelphia. It would be easier if we had the docs in hand before we get to the airport. We're looking forward to meeting at the Constellation Lounge on Wed. evening and putting faces to names. Who did you book through? We leave Nwk on 4/15 for a 3 day shore in Honolulu before boarding the Infinity on 4/18. We have no docs either and don't know where we are staying with the group. I booked through Cruises Only and they told me yesterday I should have info on Friday 3/23.
Hi Oldman, We took a park n stay package on 3/24 at a hotel across from airport. We fly out 3/25 early a.m. for 3 night stay at Outrigger Reef. We have no documents, either. Talked to agent. He has a FedEx tracking # from Celebrity, and documents were sent out yesterday to our agent. He is is California. He in turn will have to FedEx to us in Wisconsin. We're hoping to see by Friday, but just have to wait & see. I have talked to another couple who was told that their air ticket would be changed from a paper ticket to an e-ticket and their doc's would be at the check-in table upon embarkation on Wednesday. There are a lot of us sweating over this. We can all meet in Constellation lounge Wednesday, 3/28, 11 p.m. and compare stories. I'm sure a Hawaiian cruise will help us all relax and enjoy. Bon Voyage, sure the docs will get there any minute?? We too had the same problem on our last cruise, got them air overnite 3 days before we left. Enjoy the cruise and be sure to take lots of pics to post here :-)
We booded through Whole World of Travel in Carmichael CA. Did not involve Celebrity in the pre-cruise. We booked that through our TA. All I really care about is the air tickets. I can get everything else worked out once I get to Honolulu (assuming it hasn't been worked out beforehand.)
I know how you feel. Remember I was there. Got my documents yesterday...and I am sure yours are right behind. Looking forward to meeting you next Wednesday......and I am sure we will all be there to celebrate. Safe trip.....Here's to a GREAT cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear most of you got docs.I'msure OLDMANS should be getting there soon. Can anyone tell me is this kind of thing common with Celebrity? May 18 will be our first time with them. RCL always sent ours almost exactly 30 days prior. I get nervous enough as it is! Can't wait to board Infinity. Happy Sailing to you all on the 28th.
Yes, this last minute document saga seems to be common with Celebrity. We cruised on 2/19/01 and didn't get our documents until 2/16/01. It was nerve racking, to say the least. I don't know what the problem really is. We were told that people who book cruise only with Celebrity get their documents much before those who book cruise/air. Anyway, we never experienced this problem with RCCL, so for that reason (and other reasons) we will book next time with RCCL. Good cruising and I hope your documents arrive soon.
