Just wanted to let all of those web cruisers know that I have updated the Infinity Web Site with photos of our fabulous cruise. http://members.home.net/sf1776
For those of you planning to sail on Infinity, there are many photos of the ship that you might enjoy.
The photos are great. Good job. The ship is beautiful. We look forward to our cruise 8/24 to Alaska.
We would very much like to hear from others who will be on that sailing.
Once, again.....Thanks I really enjoyed the photos
Sandie - thanks so much for the photos. We are sailing on the Summit Feb. 4, 2000 and are in a Category 3 on the Sky Deck. I had not seen the size of the cabin before, it looks wonderful! Also the other pics of the Infinity are wonderful! I wish February was here already. Thanks again!
Hi Sandie, From one Queen to another, don't I wish were on the Infinity right now...We had a wonderful time, and it was fun meeting everyone on your website. It made the trip special to know people onboard. The dinner with Danny(Caseworker) was a great experience. One I will always remember. The website update is terrific.
You will have a marvelous cruise. The ship is fantastic, and I am so happy that the web site has added to your anticipation and ultimate enjoyment.
We did meet cruiseworker. Cruiseworker will be leaving the ship in Ensenada for some vacation time before joining Summit. Cruiseworker was marvelous to all of us before and during the cruise. Cruiseworker, as you know, answered many questions for many people on a number of cruises, and provided photos to me for the first web site. Cruiseworker did ask that we not share any identifying information. I'm sure you can understand that. We all appreciated cruiseworkers kindness and assistance. What a tribute to the cruiseline!
I was on the inaugural of the Infinity, so wanted to check out the ship again, through someone else's pictures. Thanks so much, it was like getting on board all over again. The pictures are wonderful, and I can tell you had a blast.
Come join us in cruise chat on weeknights, and tell us all about it.
I have a great interest in ships, and got toatlly immersed in Titanic when they found her and then, of course, in James Cameron's movie. While I had seen the other Titanic films, Cameron's version included actually footage of the ship as she now exists. The technology (I hold a Master's Degree in Audio-visual communication) used in the film fascinated me. The fact that we were sailing during the days when Titanic sailed provided irony to those who know me.
To answer your question, the photographers on Infinity have a number of backdrops that they use of photographs during formal nights. While you can have a photo taken in Infinity's atrium on the ship, they do provide "blue" formal backdrops as well as two from Titanic. One is the grand staircase, which is the one we used and is on the web site, and the other is the bow of Titanic.
Hope that clarifies your question. Sorry, no real staircase that models Titanic.
I am sure you will have a phenomenal cruise. Alaska is wonderful, and so is Infinity!
