After spending a good deal of my Sunday morning on the phone, I got a sympathetic ear in Susan at the IPO desk. We had 5 cabins booked on Summit for 11/23, tried to get the promotional rate, was told no by 3 agents. I hung up again, called back booked 5 cat 8 guaratees, called my clients, got permission to pay in full, then the lovely Susan after hearing how long I had worked at this, upgraded all cabins to cat. 1A. All right together too.
Persistance does pay. Every cabin saved $1000.00 on this sailing, and got great cabins. The promotion is only good through tomorrow, May 7th, so have your agents give it a gallant try. They are booking them fast and furious. It was so nice to talk to someone at Celebrity who felt badly for being put in the predicament.
All's well that ends well.

I'm not sure if you are aware that if you purchase 9 berths the 10th is free, you must have your TA work this out with Celebrity's Group booking dept.

Yes I know how the free births work, but we only have 5 cabins, and wanted the best deal for all involved.
Usually it is one free for every 16 however.

I'll be looking forward to you getting us some real deals for our Med cruise!

(yes, my internet is finally up and running again - whew!)

I'd drop in on a chat, but I have to admit, I just can't manage to stay up that late. I think you guys should have an early east coast chat for the geezers like me who just can't keep their eyes open past 10 pm!
