Default $8.00 for a movie??????

$8.00 for a movie, I was under the impression that they were included in the cost of the cruise, just like the food and entertainment. Is this really true????

Hi Carol,
There are movies that are included at no extra cost, but there is pay per view if you want the latest run movies. I rarely have the time while cruising to catch many movies, so the ones that are on, are usually fine with me.

Almost all cruise ships have a movie theater in addition to their large show
theater. In our experience all movies shown by the ship in their theater were free.
Possibly there is some confusion between that type of movie and ones which
you might want in your cabin, and for which there may be a charge

I was talking about the theater on the ship, not in room movies. Is there a movie theater on the Infinity, and is there a charge for movies????? Does anyone know?
thank you for all your replies, I am really new at cruising.

There is no charge for movies shown in the theater and they are usually pretty current releases. On your cabin TV there are some free movies and also categorized pay per view such as you would find in most hotels.

Carol,
We were on Infinity's first trip to Hawaii. The movies in the room are $8.89. I got charges for one tht I did not even look at. Was merely flicking through the channel and reading the menus on the TV screen. It seems tht I got charge for some adult "porn" type movie. However, the movies in the ships theater are included with your fare. Our experience with the movies that were selected for this cruise was not exceptional. Movies like "The Enemy Below", "The Cell" etc. It was my experience that most passengers either chose to sleep through them or to leave shortly after they began. Also, be exceptional careful engering the movie theater. Dark and floor has steps tht a couple of elderly passengers fell.
