Default Earliest flight one can make after cruise from San

I have a 10:30 flight from San Juan after a cruise on Infinity. The suggested time frame is anywhere after 10:00 so that should have been okay before all the events of the last month but I wonder if it enough time now. If anyone has been on similar cruises in the last 3 weeks could you let me know how the process went.

I was wondering the same thing. We booked a noon flight on American back in August & now wonder if it's too early. I guess if we can't make the flight, we'll just have to try to catch a later flight or even stay over in San Juan another night. Now that I think of it, that wouldn't be a bad thing!

I would think you will be okay but 10:30 has me a bit nervous. I wa trying to use FF miles and that is the only flight available. Oh, well! Guess we will just have to go somewhere else to use those miles and use Celebrity's air on this trip,

Deanne,
I also had the 10:30am flight back to Newark NJ from San Juan. The airline told me that this was considered an international flight and that we needed to be there 3 hrs. prior. I don't think we would have been able to do that considering the ship gets in port at 7am and it takes at least an hr. to do even early disembarkcation. The airline (AA) bumped us up to the 1:20pm flight. Since we booked long before 9/11 there was no extra charge for this. When are you sailing? we ae on Infinity Nov. 10th Good luck to you.

Deanne, with new security regulations, that flight time may not work. However, I understand your dilema as we have utilitzed FF points too. Just have the next flight(s) schedule of your airline available with you so you can try to get on it. I am fortunate that we are doing a one-day post cruise, so we will just have to be at the airport very early. Although I was told by US Air, that San Juan is 1 1/2 hr. advance check in. With things changing daily, we must plan to be flexible. At least we hope to go on a wonderful vacation.
Bon Voyage.

We're flying AA also (JFK/San Juan). I called American & was told that San Juan is NOT considered an international flight & and to arrive 2 hours before the flight. I think I'll call again a few days prior and re-confirm.
Have a great cruise!!!

Hmmm.

Last I knew Puerto Rico IS part of the US.

I do think a 10:30 flight is really testing it, though. At any airport -- at any time. Bad weather, etc. can delay a ship.

We fly in and out of San Juan on a fairly frequent basis and it's one of the more messed up airports in the free world. I wouldn't recommend a flight any time before 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
