Default Internet on the Summit

Does anyone know anything about the availability of computers and internet capability in Sky Suites on the Summit? Do I request the computer at the time of sailing? Are they always available? Just got a very good price on upgrading from a cat IA to a SS and took advantage for the 11/23 sailing. 16 days and counting.

Tell me about your upgrade deal and of you negociated it. We are sailing on 12/03/01 on the Summit, Cat 2B and I would love to get a good deal on a Sky Suite.

I'm not sure that I got such a great deal since I booked with a TA and had to go through her. Evidently, post 9/11, cruiselines slashed commissions to TAs so they are unable to pass those big discounts along to us. I paid an extra $900 total to upgrade from a cat 1A to a SS. But since there are three of us, it was only an extra $300 per person. I think that if you are willing to wait for day of departure, you may be able to negotiate pre or post boarding, if you are willing to pay something. They won't upgrade for free.

Have a great cruise.

Just for information purposes.. post 9/11 cruise lines did not slash commissions, they INCREASED commissions.
If there was a price drop on your sailing, and you're outside of the penalty period (prior to final payment) I'd revisit the issue with your TA.

Thanks for the info Kuki but I'm sailing on 11/23 on the Summit and just made the upgrade last week. So, I guess I'm stuck. I'll do better next time.
