Default Boarding process

Has the boarding process changed since September 11th? Our last cruise December 2000 was smooth and easy. What can we expect for our sailing December 3rd on the Summit?

Hi Joe,
You should plan on arriving at the airport about 2 hours before you flights, lots of extra security these days, but its for our own good. Have heard of luggage being randomly searched and there is a rather long list of things they will not let you carry onboard.

Enjoy your Summit cruise.

Donna - I think they are talking about boarding process to the ship. I have heard that you have to show your ID and cruise tickets to get into the port itself - also will have your id checked at least twice more before boarding the ship.

Hi Sailinglisa,
Yes, think you are right, more security checks at the pier these days too.

Thanks,

Yup..
tickets and passports will be requested a few times once you enter the pier.
You will go though same search as in an airport plus your hand lugguge will be xrayed and subject to search.
