Default BYOB?

Is anyone having a problem bringing your own booze? I'll be traveling soon and want to bring a little something for the cabin.

We didn't have a problem, Jeff. Sailed the Millennium in Nov. We actually ordered booze at Ft. Lauderdale port, went back at 3:30 pm and brought it on. I don;t think they're as strict as Carnival about this.

Good luck!

Instead of buying booze at the port and going back at 3:30 to pick it up, consider buying it onboard as soon as ship sails. The shop will let you buy and bring back to cabin, no problem. They will tell you "officially" it is not allowed, but if they turn their backs.... We did this last month on the Summit and found it to have great prices and very convenient.

We had no problem in San Juan and St. Thomas while sailing on the Galaxy at the beginning of November.
Bon Voyage

This is a problem. There are policies. Sometimes they are enforced, sometimes not. Everyone seems to be confused.

Lots of people purchased at the DFS in FLL before a Millie cruise in March and carried it on openly. Others had stuff packed in checked luggage.

Also on Millie we could buy in the DFS onboard and schlep it back to the cabin. Not so on Horizon last week. Go figure. Same cruise line, same policies.

Last week I bought a bottle of rum at the DFS on Coz and carried it on, went through the x-ray machine, no problem. Go figure again.

Also, we carried a bottle of wine onboard in a tote bag at embarkation. No problem.

Best bet ... put the stuff in your checked luggage.
