Two years ago we took a Princess cruise from Hawaii to Tahiti, via
Christmas Ist., Bora Bora, Moorea and to Tahiti. A great trip with some
beautiful island scenery. The only negative was the charter air from
Tahiti to Los Angeles. Since the cruise ended in Tahiti, almost all the
passengers were off and scheduled on four different charter flights. The
planes were really full and the seats were very uncomfortable. If you are
able to schedule your own air, the result might be worth the price. There
are not to many options--at least at that time. ENJOY
We did Tahiti this past Feb onboard the Ren and the Islands are simply the most beautiful in the world! The people are just terrific as well. I wrote a review that has info on the Islands and there are some photos in the photo gallery as well. You won't tegret a cruise there.
Did Tahiti on the Windsong several years ago- it was perfection! The ship and the islands. Trying to get back ever since- we were booked on Renaissance to return this last December- but that was not to be. So like you we put ourselves on the Summit 5/13 Hawaii sailing to compensate. If Celebrity sends a ship to Tahiti- want to be on the first sailing. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Hi everyone, thanks for all your ideas. Since I also like the bigger ships, I will be looking or possibly waiting for one of the cruise lines to head that way. Happy & Healthy New Year to all of you. Bev
And you could not compensate yourself any better than by taking the Summit to Hawaii on 5/13. It will be a fantastic group and we will certainly have more fun than should be legal...well, maybe it won't be! <>
hey Robocop sounds like you are going on the Summit Hawaii cruise? I am in 1B cat. Can't wait. But I also know waiting is part of the cruise experience. Reading the boards, looking up info. about where you are going ect. Aloha, Bev
