Cabin selection --- Mercury

Hi! Today I booked an Inside Passage cruise on the Mercury. We were assigned rooms 9140 and 9142--outside cabins with veranda, category two. Very pleased with the midship location (and the veranda!), and since we have a 6 year old I'm glad that it's on the same deck as the kids' programs. My question is this--we are next to the main midship elevator and stairwell-- will this be an advantage or a disadvantage (noisy? Lots of people congregating?) Perhaps I'm overly thorough in my investigation, but could someone take a look and reassure me that we're fine?
