Is there a cover charge for the Normandie restaurant. If so what is the charge and what is the best way to book a reservation???

25.00 which is the cover/gratuity.. reservations are taken throughout the cruise,.. but many folks race to find the maitre d
who during the first afternoon prior to sailing isn available to
check main dining room table assignments as well as reservations
for the normandie.. plan for almost three hours.of dining... on millie we
went back twice.. it was excellent..

This is exactly what I have been told.
Once on the boat go to the resturant and book there.
Yes there is a service fee to cover the resturant.
From what I hear - well worth it.
I'll be there in about 7 days - Summitt.

Hi, Tom ...

Here's a link which might help

<http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/cruiseguide/ship-features/Olympic-part2.cfm> You can link back to the first part from there.

The food is past excellent and the service is fabulous.

The charge is $25 last I knew.

I can only speak from my experience on Millie, but the maitre d' of the main dining room may not be your man. On Millie, the Olympic people were set up on the OTHER side of the lounge and the lines were l-o-n-g. People were being given numbers.

We were lucky and had a butler so just let him handle the whole thing for us.

I recommend choosing an at-sea day so you are not exhausted from a day running around in port and wishing for a tuna sandwich and a nap.
