Default Normandie Statue

Found a picture of the statue when it was on the SS Normandie that is now in the Summit's main dinning room!

Sorry this is the wrong statue! The one on the Summit was in one of the lounges on the Normandie!

Summit's dining room would have had to be gigantic to hold that one.

The last time I saw the statue was in the lobby of the gym in the Fountainbleu Hotel in Miami Beach - I hope Celebrity did it justice

PS - Isn't there a statue from the Normandie in the Pinelawn memorial Cemetary in Farmingdale on Long Island, NY?

The Statue of "LaNormandie", from the Normandie, languished for many years in a back lounge of the Fountainbleu hotel in Miami Beach. It was saved from this horrific fate and can be seen now at the bottom of the staircase down to the main floor of the main restaurant on the Summit. She looks fine, back where she belongs.

Funny you should bring this up. I just was looking through a Summit photo gallery at the Cruise@ddicts website this morning and noticed a statue in the main dining room.

Go to: http://www.cruise-addicts.com/picturepost/index.php

Choose "Summit 11-night 2-25-02" from the drop-down list. The picture is half-way down the thumbnails in the third column and is called "Lower Level".
