Default Millie Cabin 7177

We have chosen Cabin 7177 for our 11 nighter on Millie in September.
Has anyone stayed in this cabin? Any drawbacks? It appears to have
a balcony that is larger than its neighbors.

When I select a cabin, I look at what is above & below. Looking at the brochure, directly below are suites, most with a large balcony. The balcony does look larger. My only concern would be the increased noise. Although Summit & Infinity have awnings, I'm not sure whether Millie does.

I suggest you go to www.cruiseaddicts.com. On the community bulletin board do a search for "millie cabins". A posting on 3/23 by Einstein has a picture of some balconies. Please note that incorrect cabin #'s were provided. Cabin 7174 is shown but author wrote 7166. You can definately see what it will look like. Also, you can look through the photo gallery for photos from Infinity, Summit, & Millie.

Hope this helps.

We were in 7178 on the Summit. The balcony WAS LARGER, and it was in a terrific location. The Royal Suites are below that area, and they do have an awning over them - but that doesn't spoil the view from the above balconies. We also never heard any noise coming from the balcony below ours. If they had a party - we were not aware of it. We would definitely book that cabin again - if this helps you.

Millie certainly has awnings.

And why would anyone want to go anywhere other than here for the best adivce on-line ?

Just ask National Geographic.

They seem rather fond of CruiseMates.

And the word is "definitely", not "definately."

Pamda,

I have seen many, many spelling errors on boards, & you are the first person to ever point them out. People type fast, make mistakes, & can't spell sometimes. Big deal. How inconsiderate (gee, I hope I spelled that right) of you. Next you'll be making grammer corrections.

As to other boards: Why would you discourage people from looking at other boards? I look at several boards. Just this morning (8 am est) a different board (which I won't name here because it might upset you) had over 30 new postings in the Celebrity forum alone. By the end of the day there'll be well over 100! If you feel threatened, do something to make this board better.

I looked at the picture the above poster recommended. It showed the balcony size very "clearly" in answer the question asked. That's what these boards are for!!!! The poster also said she "did not know" if millie had awnings. Your answer "certainly" has a negative attitude.

BocaMom,
I find it very interesting that you come to the Cruisemates website and reply to messages telling people that they should go to Cruisecritic for information. You are also leaving a false return address which leaves me to wonder your motives. While I also like that website and think people should go to every and any site that provides infomation, I can't see trolling a site trying to get people to leave and go somewhere else. If someone were to go to that site and tell people they should come here or somewhere else, I have a feeling those messages would be deleted.
Jim

THANK YOU luv2cruz!

Why the attiude? I don't know about the bogus address but I think BocaMom
was trying to help the original poster. Those are excellent pictures showing
every balcony on the Millie. I was sent to that board from here back in January
and it allowed me to see my actual cabin and I was thrilled. We're all cruisers
here to help each other. Jim and Pamda are well respected so there must be
some other history here. Sad.

Thanks for your help. I was able to see the 2B cabin and the balcony in detail. I do like the large balcony but I wonder whether it is better to have the smaller cabin with a large balcony, or whether it would be better to upgrade to a 1A with a smaller balcony and more room inside. Any input on cabin size?

Magiceye,
We were in cabin 7180, identical to 7177. It is a great location,
close to the elevator, and a quick walk up to the Buffet! The cabin
next to us, one upgrade, had a smaller balcony and ran $500 more
at the time. The only difference was a full size sofa compared to
a love seat sofa bed. There were 3 in our room, and when the
sofabed is made (next to the balcony) it is hard to maneuver.
If only two of you, I would stay with that cabin...again-excellent location!
We loved our cabin...have a great cruise. The cabin photos at that
website (see infinity) show the larger cabin.
