Default Port Everglades hotels

We've booked a cruise that leaves from Ft Lauderdale and we want to arrive the night before we depart. Does anyone have a link that lists the hotels near the Port. We would like to be able to take a shuttle from the hotel to the Port. We have heard that there are plenty of hotels and we want to book now, if possible. thanks, Carmen

We booked at Amerisuites throught ValueTravel.com, The internet rate is $75/per night verses $119/night if you deal directly with the hotel.

You can also bid for hotels through Priceline.com, I've some posting on these board where people have succesfully bid at $55/night.

The Marriot Spring Hill Suite has a great rate of $79..00. Less than 2 miles from the airport. Free continental breakfast and free shuttel to Port Everglades on Saturday AM.

Try this link http://www.springhillsuites.com/dpp/PropertyPage.asp?MarshaCode=FLLSH&checked=True&Mar riott_BD={BC24C0B4-C797-4E61-957F-095507E9055A}

or just search Marriot on Google and you'll find it.

Did you stay at the Amerisuites 17th Street? If so, was it nice? How much was the cab to the ship from the Amerisuites? Thanks

We got the room through valuetrips.com for 94.00. It was nice. They have a pool outside, free breakfast. The cost to port was around $5.00. Much better than the shuttle. Amerisuites shuttle left at 11. We were on the ship at 11. yes, it is 17th street. Just have them call a cab when you are ready to go. Jan

We were on the Century also. They let us on around 11. We put our carryon in our room and walked around the ship. The lunch buffet opens at 12:30...

You can also try www.hotwire. com for hotels. We booked Embassy for $55/night and Amersuite was $50/night. Both were plus taxes & fees. In our case Embassy came to $62.98/night. Embassy Suite on Hotwire is the 3.5 star and the Amersuite is the 3.0 star hotel, both have the Suite logo.
