We are travelling from the UK to join the Millenium for the 2 Sept cruise. A couple of questions please :-
we are staying in the Pier 66 at Fort Lauderdale - how long will it take to the pier ?
we are staying in a Sky Suite - what time can we join the ship - I have been told 12:30 but I have read elsewhere of earlier joining times ?
You can actually see the port from the hotel, but you have to go around the port and over a draw bridge that will sometimes open to allow a yacht or two through . 10 to15 minutes and about $ 10.00 should do it. If the cab driver is honest, there are no extra charges for suitcases. Have you checked into whether you can get a hotel shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel and perhaps from the hotel to the pier? Send the hotel an email and ask.
Hi, just returned from the Millie yesterday and did stay 3 days at the hyatt Pier 66 prior to sailing (have stayed there before for pre cruises, it is a really great hotel and if you are a pool person we prefer the rooms around the hotel rather than rooms in the tower. ), It is only 10 mins from the hotel and you can see the shio the morning of the cruise from the rotating restaurant on the roof. We had a car rental so we dropped off bags at the ship, took the car back then the shuttle from the airport car rental. We boarded at 11AM but were told to roam the ship and rooms would be ready at 1PM, actually I didn't read the paper and went to the room at noon and it was ready, I didn't go back to be "escorted" at 1 PM
