bungee cord for Millie?

Deb and I will have our first balcony cabin apr 2003 on the Millie. Do we need a bungee cord to keep balcony door open when we desire it so? If so, what size B cord do we need? Thanks in advance.

They have sliding glass doors....we had no problem with it staying open on its own.

Hey Rick,
WOw, got that balcony cabin:-) Just off Infinity last week, and ML is correct, no need for a cord, just open the sliding glass door and enjoy!

I must say, I really enjoyed Celebrity, be sure to get into the aqua spa, feels wonderful, a real stress reliever!

Rick, bring your bungee cord anyway. You can use it to tie down your stuff on your deck chairs to keep guys like me from touching it. It is also good in the cabin to use as a laundry line or in case you misplace your handcuffs (wait, scratch that last comment).

We were on the Millie in a Cat. 2 and they definitely had sliding doors. Now, my question, we're going on the Galaxy next and I understand that they do not have sliding doors on the balcony cabins. Will a bungee cord hold the door open so I can hear the waves at night? How big does this bungee cord have to be? thanks for any hints you can give me.

Re: bungee cord for Galaxy?

How do you keep the verandah door open on the Galaxy. I understand it does not have sliding doors as the Millenium did? I've had someone tell me they keep it open with a trash can. will a bungee cord work?

Cheric,

I can't think how the bungee cord might work on the Galaxy (could get it on the door handle, but not sure what you would tie it to on the other end).

Yes, the Galaxy and the other Century class ships have the swinging doors....we always put the little garbage can in the gap to keep the door open several inches. I love the sound of the sea!
