Default Boarding

Received ticket brochure several days ago, and it says that boarding time is 2:00p.m. Are they for real????

Most msgs say that you can board as early as 11:00 a.m., have lunch, and explore the ship after checking out your cabin. Sounds more feasible to me. What is (are) your experiences?

We live in Fort Lauderdale get to the port around noon and never have a problem.

It may depend on what time the ship sails. I had e-mailed Celebrity about this for our 6pm sailing, they also said 2pm. I then sent another e-mail explaining I would like to drop off the luggage earlier so I can explore the city before boarding. They said I can drop off luggage as early as 11 am. So I'm aiming to be at the port by then and hopefully they'll let us board that early.

If you post what time your ship sails and out of what port, maybe you'll get responses from those that have done the same thing.

Phil:
We sailed on Celebrity's Constellation out of San Juan on 11/16/02. We arrived in San
Jaun at 11:30 am and were on board by 12:15pm. Just in time for lunch. The ship
sailed at 11:00 pm. We had more then enough time to explore the ship, unpack, and
spend time in San Juan if we wanted to.
