Default Marriott Marina Hotel-FLL

Can you just walk across the street to the boarding area from the hotel or is it too far to drag the luggage? Does the hotel have a shuttle to the pier?

Too far to walk, but a teriffic view of Port Everglades, if you ask for a room on that side. Marriott DID have a shuttle to the pier, and ir was free. Meanwhile, three busses were loading with folks who had booked a pre-cruise with Celebrity. Nice choice for a pre-cruise night, but somewhat isolated if you were staying longer than one night.

you cannot walk from the Marriott Marina to the pier. The hotel though does provide a free shuttle.

This is a great location for a pre-cruise night. I disagree that the hotel is isolated. The Water Bus stops right at it's pier on the Intercoastal. $5 for all day pass on and off. It is a great way to see this city in a short amount of time. You could get off at the Hyatt across the waterway and go for a Sunset drink in their revolving lounge which is high on top of their hotel tower. The new Renaissance is on the other corner at 17th. It is great to see ships leaving port the night before you board.
Bon Voyage

What time does the shuttle bus leave for the pier? We were told to take a taxi if we wanted to get to the ship early.

My favorite place to stay in Fort Lauderdale. Not at all isolated and quite internally sufficient. We love Goosby's (the outdoor grill). Sittin' there soaking up the sunshine is a great way to begin my vacation.

We have always taken the shuttle to the pier as it is not within walking distance. Hope your stay at Mariott is a good one and the cruise better.

The first shuttle from the pier at the Marriott starts loading at 10:30. You do have to sign up for the shuttle service the night prior.

Regards,
Kuki
