No particular ship.. but sitting on my balcony, feet propped up, bottle of Pol Roger champagne in the bucket, a plate of chocolate covered strawberries... the sun setting over St. Thomas... and the butler brings in a box of Cova Chocolates!!!!! I had previously said I needed a serious chocolate fix!
Kuki:
My entire cruise with you and your lovely wife is one of my best memories. The Millenium is such a beautiful ship and those European ports were just so amazing. Plus we had so much fun touring with those 16 little old ladies.
Jim and I will forever remember our vist to Venice before the cruise. What a lovely island the Lido turned out to be. There are just too many wonderful memories from this cruise on the Millie to mention.
You always come up with such wonderful message threads, Kuki. Thank you for starting this one. One of my favorite memories is from a 1999 (July) Mercury Alaska Inside Passage Cruise. I remember sitting with others, who decided to forego the hypnotist entertainment in the Mercury's theater, to watch for whales, and to admire glaciers, and to witness the light slowly fade into the night around us. To sit with new friends and appreciate the vastness of Alaska--I'll always treasure that.
Admiring the Caribbean sunset from our balcony on the Summit -- the first time we ever had a balcony . Second would be our dinner in the Normandie restaurant, truly a wonderful experience.
Hope that our upcoming Transatlantic Constellation cruise will be in the top 3...

Re: What's Your FAVORITE Celebrity Cruise Memory?
A tie, but both happened on the Summit last May on the Let's Get Lei'd cruise......first was sailaway from Hilo at a private party on a friend's balcony.....and throwing our lei's overboard to make sure that we returned to Hawaii some day. Second was eating at the Normandie restaurant with three very good friends....one of them an elderly woman on her first visit to the alternative restaurant....she was so excited and pleased with the service; just to see her smile and enjoy it so much added more to the dining experience for me and the others at our table......and it was heavenly!
I need to talk to you! Yes, Kuki's wife is a lovely lady, how she puts up with him is beyond me ! But Kuki is one of you favorite memories ?? Just kidding !
Have only cruised with Kuki one time and I was a bit on the 'shy' side, but watch out if it ever happens again!
Re: Re: What's Your FAVORITE Celebrity Cruise Memory?
My favorite Celebrity moment is when my family and I board the ship(usually the Mercury)and are greated warmly by the friendly crew . Knowing that we will be well taken care of for the next week or two. This ship has over the years always delivered an excellent cruise for us, no matter where she is sailing. I am looking forward to sailing her again in August.
Re: Re: What's Your FAVORITE Celebrity Cruise Memory?
To date our most favorite memory was on sailing in November 2002 on board the
Consellation. The memory is the our Table Mates at dinner. The were a total of 8 of us at this table. The six people at our table were the best Table Mates to Date. We all had good conversations over the days events and good laughs. Being we were at 1st seating we always ran overtime. We were always the last to leave the dinning room because we had such a good time. Our waiter and bus boy did not now how to nicely ask us to leave so they can get the table made up for the next seating. This is a memory that my husband and I will always remember.
That would have to be swimming at the beach on Catalina Island and looking out over my shoulder and seeing our "home for the week", the Millile anchored out a short distance. What a sight! Just floating and forgetting all my worries--at least for a time!
I'm hoping for more fun and relaxation in a couple weeks on the Summit! (2/21)
Watching everyone else get off and having to look for their suitcases as we waited for our second week to begin on our first Celebrity cruise on the Zenith.... Back to Back East and West out of Ft. Lauderdale.
Re: Re: Re: What's Your FAVORITE Celebrity Cruise Memory?
I have 2...One is from my first Celebrity cruise on the Century back in 1997! The same week Royal Caribbean bought them.
You can see in the photo attachment we were having a great time!
The Second one was on the Millennium..I bought a pass for the week for the Persian Garden Spa....Each day I would get a nice Steam and then a Shower...and in the Shower (the water had a nice Aromatherapy Mint cool and refreshing) The music in the Garden was soft and light...So much that I fell asleep several times while sitting on the nice warm stone bench ofter taking a steam and mint shower.....OH I WANT TO RETURN!! I will be back on the Century agian May 17 2003 with my mom and brother and friends.
Taking a catamaran evening cruise in Hamilton on our anniverary in 1998 with singing and endless champane while on Horizon. We did get back to the ship. It was beautiful.
Last year in Alaska for fifth time at Hubbard Glacier which was very active.
My first time on a celebrity ship was on the Century. My husband and I had recently married and this was his first cruise, my 5th. We left a small gift for the captain at the pursers desk and ended up with an invitation to dine with the captain. What a experiance that was. We both felt like cinderella at the ball. We still dream about that night.
Tablemates on Mercury two yrs ago..we were four couples all living on/'near islands (Long Island NY), Vancouver Isl, Aruba, & island off CHarleston) Great company & converation & still in touch here & there. Mercury is a great ship all around!
My favorite moment was on Mercury 11/25/01 when I made visual contact for the first time with the most gorgeous male ever to be created!!!.Unfortunately having a partner with me somewhat curtailed the desire I had to grab him and give him a great big kiss.
This visual contact continued during the cruise and we last saw each other during the disembarkation process.
This led to the the most miserable cruise moment-leaving the ship and never getting the chance to exchange details!!-I have tried without success to track him down but without any luck-but I shall keep on cruising until our paths cross again- a fantastic excuse to get as many cruises in as possible don't you think?
Our first Balcony cabin..... Kuki thanks....Deb and I have already reserved dining in the Olympic for our 20 Apr sailing. We are excitely looking forward to it.
