Just read where the Enhancement test program they tried on Millenium in September will be expanded to include other ships based on passenger feedback. The enhancements have been narrowed down to poolside sorbet service, and fee based massage at the pool, an evening "casual dining boulevard" featuring pasta, pizza and a new Sushi Cafe and 'happy hours' at ship lounges which come complete with pre-dinner hor d'ouevres. Also sounds like Michaels Club will be transformed into a piano bar while the Aqua Spa will extend it's hours to 11PM. Even though Le Grand Buffet will still be held at the late evening time, the word is that the additional themed midnite buffets will be moved to lunchtime.
July is supposed to be the target date for these programs to be initiated fleet wide, but currently in addition to Millennium, it should also be in place on Mercury and is being introduced on Constellation.
Has anyone else heard this? Just wondering if it is true.
Just returned from the Constellation. As we boarded the ship there was a complimentary glass or champage or orange juice for all passengers. I heard about the sorbet at the pool but I missed it because I was ashore. I heard there was a fanfare and waiters strolled around and everyone had cool cloths and lemonade sorbet which I was told was wondeful. The Sushi cafe opened one evening after we had had pizza and were sitting on the back deck with many people leaving Antigua. The crowd responded to the call of Sushi and we all ate again. Delicious.
I read the same thing. Looking like our Consellation transatlantic will have an HAL flavor with the better food that Celebrity is know for. Now if they would only enhance the entertainment I would cry. I look forward to the changes. See you all soon.
Dick are you on the 4/26 crossing with us? Didn't know that. Happy to find another going with us. CU there. Do you know that we have set up a special chat on Wednesday 2/19 at 8PM for the Constellation cruisers. When you get into chat, click on rooms and go to Connie Chat Room. We'll all be there. Hope to meet you there.
I was on Millie when these new enhancements were initiated. We loved them then and we (my wife and I) are glad to see that they are following through with going fleet wide. One of the things we really enjoyed was the enrichment program on our sailing there was a portrait artist who was doing portraits on the at sea days, my wife and I were lucky enough to be able to get ours done, they are now hung in our living room and everytime I look at them the remind me of our wonderful cruise.
