Default hotel to stay in

Hi all,

We will be sailing on the 4/19/03 Century and need to book a hotel room for the night before and night after our cruise. Any suggestionson a great hotel to stay at will be greatly appreciated. Would like to stay near Port Everglades if possible.

Thanks,

Bill

I like the Embassy Suites On 17th St Causeway. Free shuttle from airport, free shuttle to pier. Two room suite. Very comfortable. Evening cocktails, free. FULL morning breakfast, free. You are 5 minutes from airport and can see the ships from many of the rooms. Next door and accross the street are two shopping centers and dining choices (besides the restaurant in the hotel). Full hotel services and a nice pool.

Also there is Amerisuites on 17th street. Shuttle sevice also, and breakfast. Check out valuetrips.com They offer some good rates. One suggestion, have the hotel call you a taxi to go to port. About $7.00. Get there around 10:15, ( no lines)and you will board the ship around 11. Most shuttles do not even leave the hotel till that time. When you return, take a taxi also to the airport...Much quicker and you won't arrive with a large group of people to stand in line with....Enjoy, Century is a great ship!!

Hi,

We've always stayed at the Marriott Marina which is directly across the blvd from
Port Everglades.

If you decide to try it: It's about $125-$150/night. Get a room up high (10th floor) on
the port side with a balcony. You can then sip champagne and watch the ships come
in. They have a lovely dining area and bar which looks out on the marina for your
evening meal, and or breakfast.

FYI: Princess has the port berths closest to the hotel and you will see the Grand
if she is in port. This ship is HUGH.

Mariott Marina would be my first choice and lots of people have been getting rates like $55 per nite for Mariott from Priceline.com. But Embassy Suites is nice also.

You might want to try Priceline for any one of the hotels. It will save you a bit of money.
