Feedback on this Alaska cruise

My husband and I have booked his parents on a 7 day Alaska cruise on the Mercury this summer for their 50th anniversary. We have not told them yet; we will be springing it on them on Saturday, but in the meantime, I would like some feedback on the ship and the itinerary! It is roundtrip from Vancouver. They have never been on a vacation anything like this before,so we think they will be very excited, and we are excited too! It is my father-in-law's dream to go on an Alaska cruise. Any comments??I've heard the Mercury is a wonderful ship! We took our first cruise in November for our 24th anniversary on the Summit and absolutely loved it!
