Celebrity chartering World Airways

Has anyone flown World Airways? Celebrity has chartered it to take us from JFK to Venice on Aug. 1 for the start of our Venice - Barcelona cruise on the Millennium. We're just wondering about the service and safety of this airline.

Ugh..... a charter is a charter...... unless it is all First Class. which in this case it is not.

It's pack 'em in and move 'em out in this case.

Safety record is fine. Comfort record is a different story.

They did that back in 2000, for the Millennium's inaguaral season. Reviews were not good. Check out what it will cost you to plan Custom Air. The price may not be that much different. Just know what will work for you.

World has been around for years. They fly extensive charters for the military - probably hauled most of the trrops to the Middle East. No extra legroom or service though.

Flew them from Ft. Lauderdale to South America. They had 11 seats across and not much leg room. Service on the plane was good as well as the food. They have a perfect safety record as far as I could find out. They took most of lthe troops to Desert Storm and the Gov't uses them all the time.
