Default Is the Euro used in Scandinavia & Baltics?

Dear Cruisers,
We'll be on the Constellation Baltics/Scandinavia cruise on Aug.2-16. Rather than purchase currency for each country, do you think the Euro is accepted in Sweden,Finland,Denmark,Germany,Norway, and Estonia?

If you know, I'd appreciate your sharing the info with me!
Best Regards!
Suzie P.

Euro in Finland & Germany as already been said. We purchased a few Nor kroner for trams etc, They took $ on circular tour bus in Stockholm. Everyone wants $ in St Petes unless you have a visa & using public transport, also $ taken in Tallinn (easy walk round from shuttle bus). Copenhagen we only walked round from shuttle bus but I think they took $ on water taxi. Hope this helps, more info on my Connie review june 8th 2002

Estonia is still independent country, we will join EU next year, so we use our national currency- Estonian kroon (by the way much more beatiful banknotes then Euro).

Estonia will join Euro zone in 2006 or so, I m afraid. So joining EU does not mean atumatic use of Euro.

But street vendors accept Euro, and of cource US dollars as well and you can use your credit card and there are lot of ATM s everywhere in Tallinn. So actually currency exhange is not requiried.

estonian kroon is pegged to Euro
1 Euro = 15,6 estonian kroons
