To anyone or maybe"Nanatravel" if she still reads this board--Can you give us some ideas on getting the best rate without bidding for pre- & post cruise nights in FT Laud. Last time we found a grea t rate at Amerisuites via a website--called something like supervalu..can't find it with that name Would prefer not to bid but want Embassy Suite FT Laud for a pre & post cruise stay. The hotel itself has absurdly high rates but other discount websites have nothing avail. at this time--is it too early? We would prefer this hotel to Amerisuites. Thanks for any info you can provide.
You might try some of the large Travel agents that have Embassy Suites as one of their group hotels and get you good rates without bidding. Locally to me that would be some one like Liberty Travel.
When are you going?. There are a few times a year that there are no bargains on the major hotels in Ft Lauderdale. For example, at the end of Oct or beginning of Nov. they have the big in water yacht shows that attract thousands of exhibitors and attendees for a week or two and all the hotels anywhere near the water get booked up.
Not going til next March but this yr we had gotten a rate from the hotel itself that was twice what we found on the discount website that was mentioned on this board....Even today the AARP rate was better than the cruisers rate...will just keep trying have plenty of time--if we do the New Eng cruise in the fall we won't need a hotel..can leave from NYC!
Kuki, I went into Hotwire to try and get the Embassy suites.
It came up with a $45. a night price.
My questions is is it the Embassy suites at the airport or do I click on downtown?
Not sure if I click on airport choice what I would really end up with.
Thanks in advance for info.
