Default Day Prior Program in FLL

Wondering which hotel Celebrity normally uses for their Day Prior Program in Fort Lauderdale. If anybody knows, would appreciate a response! Thanks. Nicolas

Can't recall the name but we were assigned one very near the airport & nothing else.. It had a nice breakfast buffet & relatives rescued us & took us to Hollywood for dinner. There was also a very nice lobby bar & small gift shop. It did have a nice pool area & gym in a sep. bldg & was next to the DCOTA ( interior designers) whichc were having an open to the public day... We did our daily walk around the parking lot several times.Lately we have done our own thing finding it cheaper & more convenient. The cruise line air gets done last minute & you get the worst seats at least from our small airport....Just my opinion...we are trying for Embassy Suites & the fall back is Amerisuites. Using a new service so hope this did not post twice!

In Celebrity's 2003-2004 Caribbean brochure, there is a picture of the Radisson Bahia Mar Hotel @ FLL. I don't know anything of this property @ $139 pp. You can do much better on your own, as rooms are priced per room not per person in this area. Many hotels have shuttles from the airport and to the pier, so taxi fare is minimal.
Check out Priceline, Hotwire or any travel internet site for affordable rates.
Bon Voyage

Folks typically wind up at the Sheraton Airport.

Book your own hotel... even if you pay the hotel's going rate you'd save money over the cruiseline.

Example.. we were sailing out of FLL. The Hyatt was offered at $239 PER PERSON.
Hyatt's rate was $239 per night regardless of occupancy. The cruiseline was charging twice Hyatt's daily rate! No thanks.

As it wound up, we used a AAA rate.... somewhere around $149 per night.

Most folks bid on priceline. I do as well. Take a look at www.biddingfortravel.com... and click on Ft. Lauderdale.
