I know that some cruise lines are more suited to younger travelers than others. We are on an Alaska 7 day crusie on Celebrity Summit this September. Does anyone know what the average age of the passengers we can expect?
"Fellow Passengers: During one-week Caribbean and Alaska cruises, you'll find most passengers in their 40's and 50's plus families during vacation and holiday periods. On longer cruises, including Europe and South America itineraries, passengers tend to be in the 60+ age group."
It is true Sept will bring out the older cruisers, not to mention Alaskan cruisers are inclined to be a bit older. This does not mean young people and families don't do Alaska, it's just one of the cruise destination that is more popular for those over 50 or so.
We were on Celebrity Infinity in Alaska last year over Labor day and since most schools had already started, there were no kids onboard, I actually saw one towards the end of the cruise. Expect mostly the 40's to 50's in age group during that time in Alaska.
