Default cruising in general

I am posting for a couple of reasons my previous post is slipping off the bottom, and i need some advice

though i have been on hundreds if not thousands of cruises i am torn, what do i do, i have a new job starting between the end of feb and april, do i stick with american waters or stay local with med and baltic/fjord cruises..........

i have done every area except australia/asia, greek isles and east coast ->canadian coastline

what do i do help

cheers

JD

Well.. if it is a tipped position.. stay in North America.

If not...... you'll have more time off on port intensive itineraries.

Though I must say, I don't remember Celebrity GIVING employees the option of which ship.... not even the most senior. One goes where one is needed.

I'm going back this time as a shoppy (gift shop) previously i was photographer, so my mainstay reason for switching is primarily the tie off though i reall need to be earning 3-400 dollars a cruise. so it's a tough decision to make.............

thanks though

Okay, Dave.. that changes things....

First, one of my friends was shopkeeper on the Grand and Golden Princess. He did better financially on those two ships in the Caribbean.. than he did as butler on Celebrity. He also liked his fellow crew members on Princess better, too. Oh... he was a Brit.

I'd aim for the larger ships... with lots of sea days. Perhaps NCL Dawn out of New York..... or RCL's Voyager will be going out of New York as well... if not.. Princess in the Caribbean.. or RCL's mega ships in the Caribbean.

Remember.. the more sea days.. the more people shop on board!!!

Forget Europe... and Alaska... you'll starve!!!
