I've never had towel art on Celebrity either, but have had it on Royal Caribbean.

I've never seen towel art on Celebrity either - including the Millennium (2001)
If you're looking for fun stuff like that here's what my friend and I have done and it's really funny: We take a couple toy feather boas and some candy such as bubble gum, caramel candy etc. Also, I collect frogs, so usually end up finding at least one little stuffed animal either in one of the shops on board or while shopping while in port.
Each night before we leave our cabin for dinner, we do something fun with those things like put a stuffed animal on our pillow wearing our sunglasses or with a boa around it and put a piece or two of candy. We leave a note, telling our cabin steward that the candy is for him/her. Then, each night when we come back to our cabin, they always arrange the items in a different ingenious and funny way. It's so fun to see what they'll do next. Some of the times, we've really thought we did it up funny, but we are always outdone!!
And we always get a cheery "hello" and big smile when we see our steward in the hallways! Oh...they always, always get a great tip from us too! :-)
We've been on 8 different Celebrity cruises and have never seen towel art. I have heard of an occasional piece - I think it might be steward that moved to Celebrity from another cruiseline..
I think the turndown with the new chocolates (filled - not the little squares) is quite elegant and welcome.
We have had towel art on one RCL cruise and one Carnival. Both were our worst cruises. Think I prefer the service to the art; would be nice if we had both cause the art is fun. actually the best part of our Carnival cruise was our cabin steward in every way!
29 cruises on Celebrity and no towel animals.. and if the cabin attendant ever took my silk nightgown and twisted it into an animal.. I wouldn't be very happy about it.
Just experienced my first towel animals on the Carnival Legend. They were cute.. and my cabin stewardess showed me how to make each one. I did tell her to leave the silk nightgown alone.!! She said she, personally, did not use guests nightclothes for animals.
